This year’s Baroque Festival begins at 2 p.m. with making a fancy, face mask in “Baroque Style” with 21st Century bling. If you made one last year, please feel free to make another! Only students who are participating in the recital can make a mask since supplies are limited.
Please have students dress up in “Sunday” best, or Baroque style but be comfortable! Please take lots of pictures at the craft area or on stage after the recital! Invite your friends and family to attend.
Each entry is limited to a maximum performance time of 6-7 minutes.
This non-competitive, non-judged event, held in the format of group recitals, is designed to encourage students to enjoy listening to and to learn more Baroque music. Solos and ensembles are both welcome. Original compositions, arrangements or transcriptions are acceptable. Memorization of solos is encouraged but not required. One long piece or several short ones may be performed in this time frame. Any composer of the Baroque Period is acceptable. Teachers may accompany their students if desired.
