Baroque Festival

Trinitas Christian School
November 13, 2021
deadline: November 1 (firm)
registration form

$15.00 per student/$10.00 per ensemble member

Recitals are at 2:00 PM (cap of 50 minutes) and 4:00 PM @
Trinitas Christian School, 3301 E. Johnson Ave, Pensacola, FL. 32514. The demonstrations, crafts, and selfie booth are available between recitals. Students and teachers are encouraged to dress in “Baroque Style!”

Each entry is limited to a maximum performance time of 6-7 minutes.

This non-competitive, non-judged event, held in the format of group recitals, is designed to encourage students to enjoy listening to and to learn more Baroque music. Solos and ensembles are both welcome. Original compositions, arrangements or transcriptions are acceptable. Memorization of solos is encouraged but not required.  One long piece or several short ones may be performed in this time frame. Any composer of the Baroque Period is acceptable.  Teachers may accompany their students if desired.

Check out Leila Viss' website here, for great ideas to get your students excited about the Baroque period and music. Her program “Go Baroque” offers materials for teachers and students in your studios.
